An Instagram post from Life Is Beautiful announcing the 2020 cancelation.

Life TRULY is beautiful, is it not? For over a year plus people have waited in angst holding onto festival tickets that were to either be refunded or good for the following year. Some festivals all together have outright canceled without even announcing a lineup for that year.

In 2020, Life Is Beautiful made the heartfelt decision to not go forward with the years festival plans due to the unprecedented times COVID-19 brought upon the world. This choice was met with a barrage of mixed opinions from the public. Some people were outraged, some people sided with the choice in favor of what would be best for public safety, and some people were just happy to have a sense of closure to know if the festival was going to happen or not. Life Is Beautiful has waited well over a year to show their vision from 2020 in an epic full return for this years 2021 festival, and it’s finally time.

This festival has always stated its clear beliefs of spreading love and celebrating life, messages Interracial Friends has always stood behind as well. So when confirmation was received coverage was approved for this years festival the brand was beyond ecstatic. Come September 17, I look to bring you the unity that is Life Is Beautiful.

The beauty about this festival is that it is so much more than just a music festival. Life is Beautiful also showcases an array of unique interest such as comedy, art, diverse culinary, and perhaps most interesting of all the encouragement of new ideas. The yearly lineup is also always very diverse in its own respect. Each year every lineup has nationwide headliners from multiple genres of music. From rap music to alternative rock, pop music to electronic and everything else in-between. This festival truly offers something for everyone. The event will take place in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The festival grounds encompass 18-city blocks within the heart of the city extending from 7th to 11th Street and from Mesquite to Carson Avenue. You will find the festival entrances located at Fremont & 7th street and Fremont & 11th Street. As someone (like me) who maybe hasn’t attended this festival yet, it is highly recommend to download the official festival app. This can help plan your daily artist lineup picks, check set times, and find crucial information related to the festival. It is important to note that you are REQUIRED to activate your wristband before entering the festival. Once your wristband is activated, you’ll gain festival entry, enhanced customer support & security, and unlock full access to festival experiences, sponsorship activations, promotions and more. Activation begins September 10th through the Official Life Is Beautiful Mobile App. Scan this QR code to download the app today!

So what is Life Is Beautiful even? An issued statement simply says this:

“Life is Beautiful was born in 2013 as part of the major transformation of Downtown Las Vegas as a cultural hub and has since contributed over $350M of economic impact and cultural capital to the area. During the three-day festival, premier musical acts, experiential artists, comedians, thinkers and culinary talent flow into the urban streets of DTLV, in addition to the festival’s 170,000 attendees. What started as an event has become something more: a symbol of connection, joy and creativity. Life is Beautiful continues to be driven by its core mission to create a holistic experience which aids in positive community transformation and individual empowerment by collectivizing and inspiring through shared experiences driven by art and culture.”

From reading that statement it can clearly be gathered that this festival wants to provide more than just a regular 3-day festival experience, it aims to provides a stellar festival experience that will provide memories which will last a lifetime. The name of this festival even screams positive vibes. The excitement this festival looks to bring attendants hits me with a sense of deep anticipation and exhilaration alone. For years I have personally wanted to go to Life Is Beautiful as a patron but never had the chance. Fast-forward a few years later, I’am now so busy with my business to the point that I cannot make time to go to festivals or vacation somewhere unless I’m working. So you can imagine my excitement to bring you exclusive coverage through my eyes presented by Interracial Friends.

Along with a diverse musical lineup you can expect to find delicious food as well. Life Is Beautiful’s Culinary Villages feature more than 50 acclaimed restaurants alone, including Eataly, Shake Shake, Soulbelly BBQ, Cornish Pasty Co, Tacos & Beer, and many more of Las Vegas’s best eateries. Life Is Beautiful’s bars will feature more than 12 specialty cocktails crafted by expert mixologists. VIP+ ticket holders are in for a special treat. Available only in the VIP+ viewing deck overlooking the Downtown Stage, world-famous chefs from Eataly, Honey Salt, Jing, and The Black Pearl will treat guests to a variety of bites throughout the weekend, while the crew from Starboard Tackkeeps the drinks flowing. There is something for everyone when it comes to eats here. Whether you fancy a burger or vegan dish, ice cream or cocktails, the options are endless.

Comedy is something we could all use right now in these historically chaotic times. Laughter has always offered us an escape and Life Is Beautiful allows this escape every year.

“The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself'“.

-Deepak Chopra

“From depression to joy to ultimate freedom. To become the human explorer of your own self is the key to liberation from cyclic suffering.”

-Gabriella Wright

Dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of all who seek it, Chopra will host three distinct events throughout the festival:

• On Friday, Sept. 17 festival attendees are invited to join Chopra at the Fremont Stage and take part as he sets the intention for the weekend through a guided mass meditation.

• On Saturday, Sept. 18, Chopra will join his Never Alone co-founder Gabriella Wright at The Kicker for a special conversation surrounding Never Alone, a Chopra Foundation initiative and worldwide alliance dedicated to addressing the roots of human stress and suffering. Fans can also view a sneak peek of its namesake film, “Never Alone”, a powerful film that creates awareness for suicide prevention.

• On Sunday, Sept. 19 fans can spend a soul-filled Sunday session with Chopra at The Kicker for a special live edition of his Sunday Satsang focused on the spontaneous fulfilment of desire.

This festival goes beyond expectations with its location. Located in Downtown Las Vegas, the views have become modern but still have a nostalgic vibe to them. Art has a deep part within Life Is Beautiful. Over the upcoming festival weekend you can expect to see new art installations as well as sculptures and other pieces of art which make appearances yearly. However, the 2021 art program includes something very unique. A 360-degree space takeover by Camille Walala, a playful large-scale installation on the Las Vegas Motel façade by Nicolas Barrome and the return of the BACARDÍ® Art Motel featuring Spidertag and Antonyo Marest. Also joining the art lineup this year Las Vegas' very own Amy Sol, Brazilian rising star Criola, street art authority It’s A Living and many more.

Through its partnership with the women-led art curator group Justkids, Life is Beautiful has contributed to the beautification of Downtown Las Vegas since 2013, turning its streets into an open art museum featuring some of the greatest and most prominent local, national and global contemporary artists. This year’s festival will continue to revitalize the Downtown area with new art experiences for the attendees to enjoy and a highly anticipated fresh perspective for the community.

So is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.In review: Life Is Beautiful 2021 is pushing to bring positivity back into our lives safely. In times of such uncertainty we have no clue if festivals and live events will disappear again and for how long if so. If the 3-day weekend lineup isn’t enough to convince and put you at ease know that the festival has put safety protocols into place to keep everyone safe. I believe if you can snag tickets through the official ticket exchange program you do so right away. This festival always seems to sell-out in record time and for obvious reason. Life Is Beautiful is no doubt one of the top earning festivals in the world as well as one of the most well known. But it goes deeper than just being a major festival competitor, for Life Is Beautiful it is about much more. First and foremost I think for their team it is all about the message of spreading love. And that encompasses a lot of things. Giving back to the community, sustaining art and culture, and pushing the message of being yourself just to name a few. Most importantly the festivals main message is right there in the title…
